Embracer Group has introduced that Borderlands developer Gearbox now owns the Threat of Rain franchise.
“After the quarter, Gearbox acquired the Threat of Rain IP together with all launched video games within the commercially profitable online game franchise from Hopoo Video games,” Embracer Group explains in its second-quarter interim report.
“Threat of Rain now joins Gearbox’s portfolio of owned video games that features acclaimed franchises corresponding to Borderlands, Brothers in Arms, Homeworld, and extra.”
