First Contact Leisure, the crew behind VR video games like 2018's <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/product/firewall-zero-hour">Firewall: Zero Hour</a> and this 12 months's <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/product/firewall-ultra">Firewall Extremely</a> on PSVR 2, has introduced it's closing, as reported by <a href="https://www.gematsu.com/2023/12/firewall-studio-first-contact-entertainment-to-shut-down"><em>Gematsu</em></a>. After virtually eight years as a studio, it's going to shut down on the finish of the 12 months. It cites an absence of VR assist inside the business.
“After virtually eight years of working with probably the most superb crew I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of, I’m unhappy to announce that we are going to be closing our firm First Contact Leisure by the top of the 12 months,” a Fb put up from the corporate reads. “The shortage of assist for VR inside the business has finally taken its toll. As a AAA VR sport developer, we’re simply not capable of justify the bills wanted going ahead.
“We’re a crew of fearless innovators prepared to push new applied sciences to its limits. I’m extraordinarily happy with the crew and grateful to our buyers, our companions and naturally, our neighborhood of devoted and passionate gamers. It’s been a wild trip. Thanks.”
